Michigan

A few weeks ago I took my sister and her friend to New Buffalo. Just for a day and just to get away. We didn't plan anything and when we got there we realized there was honestly nothing to do. The town was tiny and it was snowing all day. But we had an awesome time just making our own fun.
The beach was beyond beautiful. These pictures don't come close to capturing its true beauty. There was just rolling dunes covered in snow and when you reached the water, the snow came into the shape of a cliff and hung over the lake. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it.

Spontaneous little trips make my heart happy. :)

Ducks

(look how gangsta I used to be ^)

I used to have pet ducks. Their names were Chubbs and Zeplin
They pooped all over our backyard, but they were pretty sweet.

Foodie Sisters: Dried tomato and Artichoke pasta

I was at my parents house last month and my dad was making something with these exact ingredients except that he was making it stuffed chicken breast style. Since my sister and I don't eat meat we decided to convert it into a pasta. But this is all my dads idea, he is a mean chef.  Its unbelievable how good he is in the kitchen.

I don't have exact measurements for this recipe but it's just so simple you don't really need them

What you need:

Whole grain pasta
Dried tomatoes
1 can artichoke hearts
parsley
small red onion
Olive Oil

Directions:
Cook the pasta. About 1/2 cup ingredients per 1 lb pasta. But I like a LOT of ingredients. ;) So use as much as you would like. Chop up dried tomatoes into bite size pieces. Chop artichokes into bite size pieces. Chop onions and parsley as well. Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Add onions and cook until clear. Add tomatoes, artichokes, and parsley and cook until heated. Once the pasta is finished you can add the topping to it or keep them separate and top as you go. If you want more of a sauce add more olive oil.

Thats it! Yumm. I paired this dish with steamed kale that is topped with balsamic vinaigrette and roasted chickpeas. Ill have a recipe for those soon!!
Enoy :)
