Book review?

Im not very good at writing.
I'd rather color a picture.

So instead of attempting a book review that would hardly make sense
and most likely make you stray from the book,
I thought I would just tell you about some of the sweet books ive read lately...

Sounds good to me :)

I loved this book so so much. I was literally upset when it ended. It has a little bit of romance and a little bit of excitement. I can say that I honestly fell in love with Jacob, the main character. And oh geez, who would have known they are making a movie based on the book. And who would be playing the role of my beloved Jacob? Oh Mr. Robert Pattinson ♥ enough said. ha-ha

This book was amazing. It is a memoir of the authors life. To sum it up, the book kind of throws you around a bit. Jeanettes father is so magical and fun when he is sober. The adventures and stories he has for his children are beyond exciting. Her mother, did not like to work. She was an artist and just like the father. Bring together a drunk father who does not take responsibility seriously and a mother just the same. I remember getting a bit teary eyed at some parts of the book. And at one point the children were fighting over a stick of butter for dinner. It goes through her childhood and her life now as an adult.

A little book reccomendation over here. The Sookie Stackhouse novels gave name to the new HBO show TrueBlood. Personally, I love this show and it is my absolute favorite. However, I know some people feel different. So I just wanted to note that the show doesn't quite follow the books, the story line is just based off of it. There are a lot of similiarities but just the same with differences. And I highly reccomend these books even if you don't like the show. I think there are 10 or 11 books and I read all of them in a month. I remember running to the store on my luch to get the next book so I could start reading right when I got home. But im kind of strange. Anyway, bottom line, good books.

Yesterday I started reading Charlie St. Cloud so we will see how that turns out!
Has anyone read any good books lately? Or have any favorites?
I'd love to hear ;)

Have a sweet day kids ♥

White wedding

Saturday we had a wedding ;)
I love going to weddings ♥
Dressing up, feeling elegant, seeing too people in love
and then getting all sorts of crazy at the reception. haha

Congrats Kristen and Craig
(They are in Hawaii right now!)
no fair

What was the coolest thing about their wedding?

1) The Odyssey country club is right across the street from our towns music venue. And Kings of Leon was playing while we were there. So if you hung out in front you got a free show!

2) Kristen's awesome Dad is the one that my brother shoots fireworks with. So guess what they did? They had one of the other crews shoot a show at their reception. How awesome!

Here are some of our pics from Saturday.

That a boy Danny ;)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Make your friends think your fancy

With this easy peasy yet elegant looking
little tomato thingy!
(however, i don't recommend calling it that if your going for class)
call it, 'basile a la feta' ?
and say it with a french accent
works every time.

But seriously
quick easy and amazing
as long as you like tomatoes that is :)

Tomatoes (as many as you'd like)
Fresh basil
Fresh oregano
Feta cheese (i use domestic)
EVOO (Rachael style)
Salt and peppa salt and peppa here.

If you don't have fresh veggies and spices. Sneak into your parents garden. If your parents don't have a garden, Sneak into your neighbors garden. If your neighbors don't have a garden, go to the grocery store.

1] slice tomatoes into round circles
2] Chop Feta cheese (as much as you would like)
3] Chop Basil and Oregano

4] Place tomatoes flat onto serving plate
5] Add feta cheese

6] Drizzle a small amount of EVOO over tomatoes
7] Add oregano and basil to each tomato
8] Add salt and peppa to taste
9] serve and enjoy

Danggggg girl you fancy......

This is your life......

“This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be”

I have been blessed with an amazing life, an amazing husband, family, and friends..
When I talk about the above lyrics im talking more so about my career life? or lack there of ;)

I want to do something with my life that I am proud of.
I want to do something that I enjoy.

Recently we have had a few lay-offs at our office.
It has me so stressed and worried.
Every day I go in and Im in a bad mood.

I know that I am meant for something else.
I believe God gave me a creative heart for a reason.
And I feel like I am wasting it.
However, I know that I am so fortunate to even have a job right now
And I think that is what is holding me back from taking a step anywhere outside of my little box.
My husband is always encouraging me to take a leap and go for something
But it always comes down to me thinking about money and a mortgage!
Oh that lovely mortgage! :)

I have a few Dreams of my own.....

I would love to eventually go somewhere with my photography
Right now school is too much with working full time, only because all of the art classes are 3 hours long x2 a week. So 2 classes would take up an entire week in which case I would work from 8-5 and have class from 6-9, or 7-10 everyday.

mmm, not a fan
Im thinking of taking weekend classes in the city.
But they can get pricey too.

I want to do something that will enable me to be home with my kids when the time comes.
My mom was able to stay home with us and I love the though of that.
I know it is not always plausable but im crossing my fingers for the future :)

Anyway, Sorry for a semi-downer post.
Just something I've been thinking about lately.

Hope all of you have such a wonderful day!!!!

Im stoked for this weekend. A Wedding and Pierogi Fest!!

There is something so beautiful about clouds
that we overlook most of the time.

This was after the storm coming back from our road trip this weekend
they all started to disperse from one big angry cloud
into cute little fluffy nice clouds :)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......pretty ;)

Help, I ate the whole box

You may find yourself saying something
similar to the title of this post once you try these

Im not sure where I can get them since I bought them from a market in WV
If my search comes up empty
I may have to suck it up and take the 8 hour drive back to get some

Someone please tell me you have had these before
so we can cry together in excitement over the fact that someone had a dream
and that dream created this
and these are now part of our world.

Maybe I can find a recipe and make my own.

We had an awesome weekend for our 2nd honeymoon ♥
It was pretty adventurous
which is just how we wanted it. :)

A day trip through the white water rapid of the
Lower New American River
in West Virginia

And guess what we did?
Cliff jumped 30 ft into the water

and guess what!
It was the most amazing feeling ever
Im so glad we both did it
although I almost peed my pants
(for real)

We spent some time in the little city
near the river....

Climbed some rocks in flip flops
because thats a smart thing too do

And took pics of my hubby after he got pulled over.
For some reason the cop had him sit in the front seat while he wrote him a ticket

All in all a wonderful weekend.
(minus the ticket)
Counting down the days until our next roadtrip :)

We were Promised Jetpacks ♥

A Sunday night in the city
Pouring down rain
With an amazing group of musicians
Overpowering us all

[My brother and his gf ♥]

Probably one of the most amazing shows I've ever been too.
Singing and dancing in the rain
My favorite thing about them is that you can actually hear their accent in most of their songs.
They are from Scotland and were only in the states for a few weeks
so I feel so lucky to have seen them :)

Here's a video of one of my favorites.
Click here to listen to the rest of their music

What was your all time favorite show?

Starved Rock Video ♥

Heres a little video I made from Starved Rock
It's mediocre at best, hahah
I got really impatient making it
So its just kind of thrown together

Oh well I still love it. :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Today I am working on something new for my Etsy Shop.
I haven't been in a crafting mood lately for some reason
(Um maybe it's because you literally can't walk in your craft room?)
Yea I should clean that.....

Oh well...

Engagement Shoot!
Getting a big comfy queen bed from my gparents for our guest room :)

Very Excited ♥

Enjoy your Weekend!

p.s My husband is at work so I am watching Twilight and New Moon.
I do this when he's gone so he doesn't think Im crazy in a stalker kind of way :)

How to get new kicks...

What do you do when you want new gym shoes
(or any kind of shoes)
But you don't really need them?

It's simple!
See below for details......

Start by walking in, on, or around mud

Then submerge feet into the mud. Be sure to cover as much as possible

Give shoes a dip in quick sand

Then drown your shoes

When complete, you've got yourself some
grade A nasty shoes
They probably smell worse than Lt. Whitey's gas

So there you have it. A few simple steps to getting a spankin new pair of Kicks

Mission accomplished ;)
