Its the little things......

That put a smile on my face....

And today I thought I'd share some with you.....

This morning I was at work. bummed out because of the rain and the fact that I had to work the Saturday clinic. Then one of our Infusion patients came up to me with a basket and said that he was working for the Easter Bunny. And he handed me a Reese's easter egg. Usually people come into the office grumpy and waiting to start a fight or yell at someone, so this came to me as a surprise. It made me so happy and I could not thank him enough.

[Not to mention that the Reese's egg is my most favorite candy of all time]

Then out of nowhere I got a text from a co-worker who just had a little baby boy, Benny. I made a little onesie for her shower, and she sent me a picture of him wearing it. And oh boy is he adorable! I added a neck tie to it and a name tag that says, "mr. chavez" He looks so professional!

So lately my husband and I haven't been able to spend much time together. He works full time on the ambulance, part time construction, on the Fire Department, and he goes to school. He's a busy busy man. But lately I've been discouraged because I just want to go out and do something with him. So when I got home from work today I got a phone call from him and he told me that he had a mission for me. He told me to find a venue downtown and we will go see a show tonight. I was so excited! This means we get to take the train into the city, walk around downtown and see some good live music. And best of all, its just us......spending some time together.

This makes me smile. :)

What makes you smile?

So my brother is the biggest music buff anyone has ever met. But the other day he took me by surprise by showing me this song. He said he had it on his ipod while he was walking to his friends, and he just stopped, looked around at the sky and the trees and realized how powerful this song is. He felt invincible. Sounds corny, but blast this tune, and let me know how it makes you feel. You may have herd it too, I think its in a few movies. but none the less its pretty sweet.
