So instead of attempting a book review that would hardly make sense
and most likely make you stray from the book,
I thought I would just tell you about some of the sweet books ive read lately...

I loved this book so so much. I was literally upset when it ended. It has a little bit of romance and a little bit of excitement. I can say that I honestly fell in love with Jacob, the main character. And oh geez, who would have known they are making a movie based on the book. And who would be playing the role of my beloved Jacob? Oh Mr. Robert Pattinson ♥ enough said. ha-ha
This book was amazing. It is a memoir of the authors life. To sum it up, the book kind of throws you around a bit. Jeanettes father is so magical and fun when he is sober. The adventures and stories he has for his children are beyond exciting. Her mother, did not like to work. She was an artist and just like the father. Bring together a drunk father who does not take responsibility seriously and a mother just the same. I remember getting a bit teary eyed at some parts of the book. And at one point the children were fighting over a stick of butter for dinner. It goes through her childhood and her life now as an adult.
A little book reccomendation over here. The Sookie Stackhouse novels gave name to the new HBO show TrueBlood. Personally, I love this show and it is my absolute favorite. However, I know some people feel different. So I just wanted to note that the show doesn't quite follow the books, the story line is just based off of it. There are a lot of similiarities but just the same with differences. And I highly reccomend these books even if you don't like the show. I think there are 10 or 11 books and I read all of them in a month. I remember running to the store on my luch to get the next book so I could start reading right when I got home. But im kind of strange. Anyway, bottom line, good books.
Yesterday I started reading Charlie St. Cloud so we will see how that turns out!

I LOVED Water for Elephants!!! I read it in like, two days. I was sad when it ended too, but I can't wait to see how the movie turns out. Aaaand I'm pretty excited that Rob Pattinson is playing Jacob :)
ReplyDeleteYou should read The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo - so good! Except the first two chapters...those are weirdly boring, but after that the book is totally awesome.

ReplyDeleteI saw a girl reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo on the el yesterday and asked her how she liked it. She said it's great. Seems like everyone is into that book, so I wanna read it. Also, at some point, you should probably read Catch-22. It's my favorite book and hilarious.
